In November 2001 Calderdale Down's Syndrome celebrated its 25th Anniversary as a group. We had a big 25th Anniversary Raffle, where many of the local companies generously donated prizes. We also published a Yearbook - a lasting memory of the group in pictures and a way of showing what out children can achieve. We also had an Evening party, at the Shay - Home ground of Halifax Football Club and Blue Sox, where many of the group along with support staff and family were attended. Rachel Davies, DSA Volunteer and Development Co-ordinator for North and East Yorkshire was also able to attend and was able to meet the group.
The Yearbook covers all the events that we have done over 25 years and also has a page for each child where parents and children were able to express their feeling.
